Research on key technologies of high-performance graphene–copper composites for electrical equipment

With the in-depth implementation of the dual-carbon strategy and the accelerated construction of new-type power systems, high-performance conductive materials are playing an increasingly prominent role in power grids and have become a key link in ensuring energy security and supporting low-carbon transition. Graphene, owing to its ultrahigh intrinsic carrier mobility and excellent mechanical properties, is regarded as an ideal candidate for breaking through the performance bottleneck of existing copper-based conductors. This report adopts chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to prepare novel high-performance graphene/copper matrix composites. The effects of the CVD deposition process, graphene content, sintering process parameters, and interfacial structural characteristics on the densification behavior and microstructure evolution of the materials are systematically investigated, and the synergistic regulation mechanism of their mechanical and electrical properties is clarified. On this basis, the main challenges faced by the material in industrialization are analyzed, preliminary pilot applications of the novel graphene/copper composites in the power field are introduced, and their future development prospects are envisioned.

Biography
